>>It was hot yesterday, but you can see how much the elevation kills your times>>

so that 128mph you ran at a lower elevation?

You run on pump gas when going 20psi+ on the track?

This was race gas. Air density on the track was equiv to 11000 ft elevation. I'm sure an extra 15% power increase would make the 128mph trap. Seeing these fast cars trap under 120mph is pretty crazy.

Your launch is a big factor of the time. A 120mph trap is good for 11.4-5 with a great launch. I mean look at gio's time.

You just need to wait for it to cool down and up that boost, C16, and go for it man. Get the hang of launching on the slicks and dont be afraid to break an axle. Once you get the spot dialed in you wont break an axle and still get a hell of a launch. 1.7 60's come pretty easy once you get the hang of it.

Well Me and him trap very similar at the 1/8 and I do 2.0-2.1 60ft times. And I trap 128 mph.
Just get more seat time and you will see the times go down.'nice times btw.

I guess the biggest difference between our runs is that I am at 5000ft. Corrected air density is like 10,000ft on my runs. That's like running 16-17psi at sea level or something like that. Not to mention you got me by a few hundred pounds.

I ran again tonight, but the intercooler pipe didn't hold up. Ran 12.3 with a 2.1 60' spinning the slicks really bad in 1st. I barely hit 4th and the pipe blew. It was still over 90* at the track though. Ran 8.01 in the 1/8th trapping 97mph. Ended up trapping 107mph. I think the car could have had 124mph in her tonight considering I was trapping that high in the 1/8th. I could feel a boost leak on the frontage road by the track, but I was already there so I figured I would go for it. My intercooler pipe blew off and got dragged on the ground pretty bad wednesday night. When the pipe blew tonight, the coupler blew a hole straight through. So I had to drive her home with no boost.

Not cool when you are 50 miles from the track and running race gas.

I'm gonna redo the intercooler piping/intercooler setup soon anyway. Plan on running more boost in the future, but I need to go back to pull-through maf to do that.

It would be nice to spend some money getting the a/w intercooler setup done, and investing in water-meth injection.

that was a good start, why only 106mph? could have been flat 12 i guess.

Yeah the elevation is a big issue, could be the difference between 123 and 128mph.

Fast sleeper, i like your car...instead of spending all the money in strange bodykits and ultra chrome rims you just made her damn fast.

What does you z06 friend say if you beat him on the track :-)

2.1 60' and I had a boost leak I was trying to find in the parking lot. Boost usually starts to hit really hard in 3rd and results in a ton of wheel spin at 5000rpm. Well, there was no wheel spin. I knew there was a leak somewhere, but couldn't really determine where it was.

So I got 3/4 the way down the track and the intercooler pipe blew off. It hit the ground with such force that it flattened the steel pipe, then I dragged it on the ground until I got back to the pits. Pipe is trash.

In short, I only trapped a high 106 because of the intercooler pipe coming off.

But I spun too hard in 1st and 2nd.

oh and so far Ive beaten the GTR, and two ZO6s. The ZO6 that ran last night ran a 12.6 @ 119 and had a intake setup. Otherwise pretty stock. This car is probably only putting 450 down at 22psi. Pulls hard, but it isn't 500whp.
