Hmmm....nice video but it does not look so fast to me. Here my analysis:
At the end of the video you pulled through 2nd and 3rd. You seem to have full boost in 2nd at apr. 40 mph and you stop accelerating at appr. 110mph. Your shifting was fast but not superfast. I clocked appr. 12,0 seconds for that watching the video 10 times.

This ist exactly the same time my mate has with his stock 350z (313hp version) on flat surface measured by the driftbox (10HZ GPS-based).

Considering your cars lower weight you should have not more than 300hp at the motor ???

Strange theory :-)

Actually on the top of 3rd it was doing approx 120-121mph. I granny shift. That mark on the gauge is 120mph. Not 110.

The car runs 2% larger tires also, so that 120mph is more like 122-123ish.

The car has not been timed yet either. The bolt is set at a rough guess to 15*, perhaps a little on the retarded side.

But the car is by no means fast. I put the exhaust back on and took the MSD off in order to clear the CEL. I am taking the car to pass the emissions test tomorrow. It is a ton quieter, and the turbo is loud as hell! You can hear the BOV now, and the turbo sounds like the motor is straight out of a long-haul diesel. Take that as good or bad, but the squeal sounds incredible.

I have driven a 360whp VE-T for many years now, and I will tell you, this comes very very close to the old VET on 15-16psi. Very close. But again, a lot of it is the powerband and keeping it in power.

40-120mph in 12 seconds. I guess it is pretty slow. But it is only 10psi. I still bet over 300whp. You gotta figure, I am at 4500ft elevation as well.

I actually just looked at some old video I have. On 15psi it took 12 seconds from 40-120, but took another gear change. So pretty close.

Thank you lynch, I just got back from getting the car registered. It passed the emissions test! Woooot!

Right as I drove off the CEL came on for no cat lol. So I hooked my MSD back up and started beating the hell out of it! Yes, I am hard on the car. But its just so much damn fun!

It makes me nervous having this MSD taken off and put back on. I worry because I don't wanna overrev it

The clutch sounds like crickets chirping when I let it out. The downsides of the sintered iron clutch. It holds like no other, but it is a little harsh and a little noisy.

I think I am going to take it to the dyno on Thursday, likely be disappointed in power numbers, raise the boost, then run it at the track this friday

I thought MSD box's were CARB legal. So why do you unhook it to get tested?

(unless its a race only box)

He does not havr it connected properly so it throws a check engine light. He needs to instal a tack adapter.

My tach always worked fine in my B13 when I had an MSD box without needing an adapter.

Your tack will work fine. I have a B13 with a MSD box and mine works fine to.

It still throws a code if you check it and yes the check engine light does not come on.
