If you use the Mazworx adapter plate with the QR25 bellhousing you can use the 215 or 225mm clutch. With the P12 bellhousing you can run the 215mm only. The difference was with the QR bellhousing you could use an s15 clutch and flywheel setup which is 225mm as opposed to getting a new disk made.

Trust me coheed. your making it harder than it really is. Mazworx made this swap pretty straight forward. Easiest being P12 bellhousing, new clutch disk and bam, done except maybe for a throwout bearing. But im thinking the QR TOB will work just fine.

And to answer your question in the Mazworx section. Yes you can keep your own flywheel.

They made the flywheel so people could have a lightweight flywheel option and easier time than finding an s15 flywheel for use with the 225mm clutch. Again this more pertains to the kit using the Adapter plate, not the P12 bellhousing.

Ok, so keep my current flywheel and pp and just get a new disk for the different splines? Then a TOB so that it is longer and has enough travel to disengage?

LOL. Thanks ashton. You just let me know what I need and I will buy it

I am rebuilding the p11 tomorrow. . . again. lol. New stacks are here and ready for dropping in.

Yes, have your clutch guy make you a 215mm disk with an s15 or QR input hub. The QR TOB should have more than enough play to disengage your clutch. If not then something can be done.

I was more pertaining to my twin disk as the center where the fingers are is way smaller and the tob might be too big and have a hard time pushing on the fingers to release the clutch. I will have to measure it when i get my stuff in.

Anyone have pics of the QR internals compared to the P11. I am sure they are going to be 50% larger in size. They haul the Maxima's fat butt around lol.

lol, ive just done a ton of researching on this. Im tired of breaking trannies and i would love to have the extra gear for crusing around and taking long trips if i want. I see no downfall to doing this swap. I think you will find more and more people doing this swap once a more solid routine of things becomes more available from peoples installs. I will be posting up in my thread how everything comes together and fits in the bay once done.

Yeah, you take a gearset that was designed to hold a 287hp V6 vs a trans that was never meant to take much more than 140hp. Do the simple math. The QR trans just by an engineering perspective should be over twice as strong as the SR trans.

Mazworx posted some pics in that thread you were in.

The only thing ive seen on their website for the 6speed swap is the bellhousing option. I havent seen an adapter plate option.

So anyone can keep their B13 fly and PP when they use the p12 housing and just get a different disc for it (im guessing these are 215mm)

Yes, Again the only possible issue is with the TOB, again this may not be an issue at all. Ill have to wait and see how it goes.
