Thread: My 10th Motor But My 1st Det, Help W/ Running Lines!!?!?!

So i got a BB DET and im tryna make sure i have my oil and coolant line locations right. i see 2 plugs on the block on the alternator side. the up plug seems to be for coolant as the lower one seems to be the oil feed. i also see an upward pointing nipple on the coolant pipe passage that is just before the thermostat which i assume is the coolant feed/return. AM I CORRECT ON THIS? any help that can be provided would be awesome BUT ANY PICS WOULD BE EVEN BETTER. also seeing as this is my 1st any lookouts and pointers would be great aswell! thanks in advance...

i did, but it was a mild search due to me looking for pics and i have found plenty but none with the angle to answer one or 2 of my questions...ill check ur history and see what i can find

yea, i just saw that now and that answer it! but i also wanted to make sure i had the line idea on the front of the block correct. as the top plug for coolant and the bottom for the oil feed.....

Yeah the bottom is the oil feed. Man where have you been I miss your posts. I will link a thread for you.
