well i think the motor would probably respond better to the the cams were tuned with more timing that is where you probably would really see the cams shine, from what it looks like the ignition map is conservative and not tuned partial to the camshafts this can really effect power esp when you have conservative fuel maps

Dont be hatin! No but seriously. Cams that havent been worn/broken in or whatever you want to call it create more drag on the motor then broken in cams. A shiney smooth surface will turn smoother with less effort compared to a brand new cam with no shiney smooth surface on the lobes. Not saying it took away alot of HP. But im guessing it would be a 5whp or more difference once I change the oil. But yeah Im going to set the timing tommorow and see wussup. Im gonna set it at about 18deg's. I also gotta change the oil still. All I know though is I was killen them at the track! Im gonna get it into the high 7's and ill be happy.

Also if you look at the charts. I made 20 more WHP by playing with the timing. But I made it on less boost. I was wondering why I lost tq on the higher end with the bumped timing. Its because the boost wasnt the same as with the first high boost dyno. Pretty cool. I need something that I can tune the timing on. I guess Im pretty much at the limits with my JWT and SAFC2

i say the next step is either the calum RT or step it up to a stand alone, without being able to tune the timing map you are definitly at your limits, ditch the jwt and the piggyback and step up the ecu before you do ANY other engine mods becuase with that setup you arent going to be able to see the real potential of the cams or any other mods

Yeah I do. Turning up the boost even more at this point to make more power would be kinda retarted. I either need to run the safe JWT tune and just get a bigget turbo while running the same boost OR i can go stand alone with the turbo on there now and tune the timing and gain about 50-60whp.

Im debating this one though. Cause the timing being conservative isnt really that bad of a thing from a reliability stand point. My boy has a Precission GT35 that he wants to trade for my Greddy. But i like my power band now. I just need more power. Hmmm. Alot of top end (GT35) or GREAT mid range and a good ammount of top end with 20-25lbs. Im gonna look up some specs on the GT35.

That GT28 aint got nothing on me! You better get a GT30! Once I finish massaging it Ill be good! When the hell are you coming back?? By the time you get back youll be wanting to buy a Ferrari with all that unspent money!

Im pretty sure Im gonna stick with this setup though. Cause Its at a nice finishing point. Everythings pretty muuch done that can be done to it minus a bigger turbo. But im not going to dump anymore money into this car. Its time to start modding the Vette! I see a big lopey ass cam in its future, along with some spray and a big boy exhuast!! The NX will be the daily on days when I can stand to drive with no AC lol (AKA work days!)

You did not follow jwt's break procedure. It takes 15 mins and the cam is broken in then change the oil on the car.
