per jwt: Break-in should consist of 10-15 minutes of 1500 – 2000
RPM and 50-100 miles of varied RPM below 4000 RPM

You can damage the cam . Jwt is not the only company that has a break in procedure. More reading.

Im going to start a complete restore on the hardtop and keep my other one on the road tearing it up until the hardtop is ready for a transplant of power.
