this is what im talkin about, it replaces the oil filter housing, so you would have to get a relocated oil filter setup

There are plenty of adapter plates out there, mocal makes them with and without a thermostat. For a cooler I would use a Mocal or Setrab if your looking for a serious setup. Unless you have a car that ONLY sees the track and no street use I would use a thermostat in the system.

British American Transfer

They have universal kits where you hose what type of hose you want etc... Your best bet being new to this is to pick up the phone and call Eric at BAT Inc. Tell him Wes from MotoIQ referred you. He will help you pick the right adapter plate, cooler size, etc...

i have an oil cooler on my car but i'm thinking of taking it off due to the fact
that i have no oil temp gauge. Not sure if i am over cooling the oil i have had
issues with rod knock and am on my last nerve with my engine!!! i am using a
k&n oil filter relocation kit with a b&m style oil cooler that is for a vw bettle and
have the black earls flex line!! All together without the relocation kit it was
about $300 for me to put it together with AN fittings included which i got the
sumit racing brand one's just to save a few $!!

no i didn't due to the fact it was a relocation kit and not the plate style, but i ran my engine for 15-20min before driving. still would rather have had the t-stat setup.
