getting a little frustarated...lol, whats new?
ok, so for whatever reason, my digital cluster stopped reading temp on my turbo car. worked fine.....for quite a bit. now all of a suden it stopped working. except for sporadically, today i noticed it jump to the last peg out of nowhere, then back down to the 3rd peg......then out again. wtf?

The connection is bad at the senser. Chaneg the senser and you will be good. This is a common problem on these older cars

yeah, i thought the same......so you dont think its something to do with a cluster going bad? just wondered, but yeah, if thats the problem ill be thrilled. maybe ill just buy a new temp sensor, for once, lol.

Instead of buying a new sensor, I put an alligator clip on the harness and connect it that way. A bit ghetto but I figure the connection on a new sensor will go bad again eventually anyway and this method hasn't failed me yet. It's also cheaper.

dont change the sensor just change the plug at the end of the harness

well.....what abpout this.....i new this was going to happen, but the cars been lowered on ghetto coilovers, and i havent gotten around to removing them. the wiring harness under the fender is chewed up. maybe thats got something to do with it? i dunno. at anyevent, i have a few things to fix now. hope i can find the time.
