Day from Hell
so today was the day i thought it would be smart to fix an oil leak (oil pan, front cover and valve cover, install oil cooler , and put my new gt28rs on bought a ASP shorty sr20ve turbo manifold. All was going well untill i snapped a stud in the ASP turbo manifold, then i was like whatever i can use my avenir manifolt untill i get it fix, then i go mount the turbo and bam doesnt fit, i hit the crossmember and i hit the block and the fad fans. So i shaved the turbo down a bit and tomorrow i will shave the block a bit. Then i go ok i can install my oil cooler.... and then bamm they gave me the wrong sandwich plate, ohh and the best part i still didnt fix the oil leak (front cover). Though I rant a bit and the best part is that this is all at my parents house while they are away and come back monday.

Great day and now I have to go to my gf house for dinner......

hope tomorrow is better

Did you rotate the compressor housing at all? The only thing we had hit on my buddy's b15 with gt35/avenir mani was the block. Shaved comp housing and block right at the allen plug and all was good. Hope you start having better luck!

rob take the stud out of the manifold. The turbo will fit on the asp manifold. I clocked the turbo and test fit it on my asp manifold.

lol by grinding I mean the compressor housing hit the block and ended up sitting on the fins...first start = compressor fins grinding out the inside of the compressor housing..I have pics! craziness!
