Thread: anyone know about the gt2871rle

i was curious as to weather ornot anyone knows abything about the gt2871rle turbo from garrett recently i was fitting my intercooler piping and theres a smallcarving on thecomp housing on my turbo that reads gt2871rle i never noticed was wondering if anyone knew what the diff was on this turbo vs the gt2871r turbo it says its rated at 440hp but couldnt find alot of info on ittt

GT2871R, T3, 5-Bolt Discharge, .63 A/R, Dual Ball Bearing, Water cooled, E Cover

Looks like it just has a GT28 compressor housing on it with the removable Intake pipe. It also looks to be T3 instead of the T2 it normally is.

wonder if the compressor wheels are the same and all that

the chra number will tell you that.

yea due to clearence issues i cant see that info its not a big deal i was just curious

I know what you mean. Its impossible to read that tag with the turbo on the car.

yea mine has a t2 housing maybe they came in diff variations i do have the e cover dont know though
