yeah this is kinda a pointless argument. Ive used act clutches for 5 years on my se-r's and never had any problems like this. It could have been a bad machining job on the disk or something wasnt right on your trans, either no dowel pins to align the trans properly or bad input shaft bearing.
Lots of variables. Its gonna happen with any disks if machined badly for some reason. My competition twin did this and it covers twice as much area on the input shaft as the normal disks. You have to realize our 18 spline input shafts are tiny in comparison to other higher hp cars. So when you turbo our cars its putting that much more stress on it.
Think of it this way. Take a torx head bolt same grades one taking a very small torx and the other a larger. its going to take more torque to strip out the larger one than the smaller one. No matter how tight fitting it is just due to the size and area its gonna break. And just like a torx bit unless absolutely perfectly machined there is gonna be some small play between the disk and input shaft.
Take a new disk, brand new, and put it on your input shaft before putting it on and i can bet you there is at least a noticable amount of play and wobble room between them.
