I guess my 6 psi is more like 180 HP. WOW, surprise to me , i hope i can make a dyno run between now and when i replace my clutch.

dude, the sr20det is rated at 200+ crank.... since the 80's that's stock boost... no mods.

You really can't compare n/a to forced induction. N/A is power right now , Boost is more progressive --->, at least on a det I mean.

this is true. but i also think it depends on how you mate performance parts to your turbo motor. some turbo response is almost dead on naturally aspired ''right now'' power....now obviosuly the larger in turbo size you go the more progressive power you are going to see....but done right you can almost get that right now power out of turbo

Then Traction becomes a issue, a peaky N/A should have better traction than a fast spooling turbo motor.

Well I for one understand what you are trying to say.

You guys, get off your scientific pedestals....

Stop reiterating things he already knows....

It was just a curiosity to see what you guys would compare a lower boost level too as far as an N/A setup.

This reminds me of all the V8 threads, and how you guys have to pick apart every mechanical and physical aspect to "decide" the scientific fact.

Just relax, and try and take it from a more.....well....."Seat of the Pants" point of view....

true, but this is all about modding obviously if you are having 200whp naturally aspired motors....so logicly the turbo motor with better tires to get traction would be in play.

if you are comparing a det motor to sr20de . the at stock level on the sr20det you are seeing 175whp which is already a good deal ammount over sr20de.

So in theory, 200 HP N/A, and 200 HP turbo are not equal.

With all things being equal.

There's no theory about it... its too subjective. You like what you like.

I like Turbo - I have a modded turbo car, turbo is more of a thrill/scare to me.
I like N/a - I have a modded n/a car, its really, really fun to drive.

Both are great. Every power mod you provide turbo will give you more power down than an n/a car... But I have a heavy foot... n/a you save you money on gas, and tires.... no seriously.

Anyway, Just drive it, don't try and figure it out hehehe.

add better tires & stand alone ems with a boost specific traction control system w/ 2 step on the 200whp turbo setup

then race the naturally aspired car.. traction issue solved
