Mate that's some pretty severe damage! Glad that JE are sorting you out re the pistons. Will be good to see what she'll put down on the JWT tune now

Thanks guys. I could sell the old head, but I can get a lot more money by parting it out. It isn't really worth repairing imho but if your friend wanted to give it a shot... just keep in mind that the head is still worth quite a bit, even in its current condition. Prob wouldn't be the deal he's looking for.

But if anyone wants any parts off this head (minus VVL solenoids) let me know. I will be selling valves, springs, retainers, possibly shims, rockers, and valve spring seats are prob going to Andreas.

Looked into nistune, but they only have computers up to 1995 years.

Not sure how much I will sell the bare head for. Going to be debating that for a few days prob.

if andreas doesn't want the spring seats, let me know a price and i'll take them if it's reasonable.

Miko delivered on the oil pump, squirters, and crank pulley. The parts look great!

My old pistons haven't been picked up yet, but they should be here to pick them up on monday or tuesday.

I was going to try the N1 cams, but with much deliberation, Miko convinced me to stick with the Stock SR16 cams instead to keep the powerband useable with my tiny turbo. We speculated on issues of blow-through since the duration and lift are so high. Of course with my restrictive turbo it may not even be much of an issue?

So the block is going in to the shop to get bored out on tuesday. Then I just wait for new pistons before I can reassemble the bottom end.

sounds good. I have been debating on if I should try and run my n1 cams. I think I am going to put the motor together with the stock sr20ve cams unless I can get some 20v's to put in.
