PLEASE stop embedding obvious street racing videos into your posts. Link to them if you want, I don't care. Just don't post them here.

New vs old. Look at the spool difference! TS FTMFW!

15psi log mani setup vet cams

18psi

24psi

1.06 TS 25psi vs the .78 TS.

AFRs were a bit on the lean side on the log mani. Leaner is meaner. I just want to fix the torque dropping off so quickly on the top end. If the fresh motor doesn't make 500whp then it is on to more testing.

But look at how much wider the powerband is. Perhaps this is why the car feels so much stronger! Over 1000rpm more 400+whp powerband was gained from all the testing I have been doing.

Lookin good chief! Lookin forward to 500!

Where's the write up??

It is crazy to see 500rpm faster spool and 50lb more torque, but yet not see any gains up top.

Now If I can just get the torque to stay around 380 till 7500rpm or so. Now THAT would be an insane powerband!

Here is another forum members Disco setup from the dyno thread just for reference

I want to nail 200whp by 4000rpm when all is said and done. I only have to gain some spool 200rpm sooner. The SR16 cams will likely push me farther to the right, but hopefully the fresh motor and A/W intercooler will make up some of the difference.

But ya, Nearly Disco-potato-spool with a 450whp powerband. I was lovin that!

I feel honored to be used as your reference.
By the end of this year when I get back from overseas I'll be pushing 350whp

I think your going to need some sort of realtime tunable ecu to really take advantage of your setup.. And I agree the sr16's would prolly push the powerband further to the right.. Better yet, don't you have some n1's??

I was going for N1, but Andreas said they would be too much for my setup. All my friends tell me I need a standalone, or tuneable ECU. But I'm just not convinced that there is any reason to upgrade yet. When the new motor gets put in and I don't hit my goal, then I will be getting some sort of upgrade.

But apparently there are people out there with JWT ecus making over 500whp. And After talking with JWT, I'm convinced that this ECU should get me where I want to be. But if not, A calum ECU will be goin in.

Got the new head with S/R and SR16VE cams today. Looks really good, just gotta get the head resurfaced. The block will be getting resurfaced with the oil pump so that they are the same height, and the head gasket seats properly.

The golden eagle headstuds are here, and the new VE metal gasket. No more cometic. I also got a stock VE crank pulley for the dampening, and am considering the N1 water pump pulley to prevent cavitation. This motor will be seeing a lot of revs.

I wrapped my turbo manifold today. It sits really close to the radiator and was creating some heat soak issues on hot days driving for several hours. It was impossible to wrap each runner individually so some had to be bundled together. It looks good, and will hopefully cut underhood temps down significantly. That is the point anyway. The SCH 40 SS should also hold up to some extra heat as well.

The JWT chip was sent out last week for a rev-limit removal, and also a 8.5:1 timing map added. I had a 9:1 timing map before.

Just waiting on new pistons now. Once they come in this project will move very quickly.

looking at the 1st page, u did all that to FORGED pistons with:
jwt ecu
12.0 afr
24lbs on pump
???????????/

were your running that 24psi daily? and i take it the 12.0afr did help the detination situation huh...would you have gone richer now looking back on this? what was your compression ratio? just trying to get a better feel/understanding on how things work.....
