whats the concern about the sti's are is that just the car you want to trump once your build is done ?

theres bigger fish in the sea to worry about, z06's, worked evo's, n/a k series and turbo k series honda's, and the occasional big block muscle car !

stratton.

sti's are my bigger fish in the sea in my area..from the na honda's...we just recently went to work on the honda scene around here and na handed them consecutive L's....

zo6's..in due time dont see enough of em..but i wanna be ready when i do...but like i said in due time, this is my DD remember...

evo's same as aforementioned

the rsx's are on the same list as the sti's

and yes the muscle cars....i shall not run from those challenges....

**** dont worry about Zo6's. Itll take a pretty nicely worked over DET to keep up with anything that has a thought out LS setup in it! With just a cam, bolt ons and a tune these dudes are pushing 450whp out of these beast with the grip to match!

Everybody always thinks its about MORE and MORE power with these cars. They think THATS whats gonna make them be able to keep up and they loose sight of what really makes these cars fast. Power to weight. Theres a ton of guys running around with 500whp that will get beat by all motor VE's down the 1/4. Its all about thinking your setup out. Its funny when I see guys with turbos running 14's when guys with VE's are running 12's. Worry about your tire selection, your weight, AND your weight distribution over the front wheels. Then worry about more power. A T25'ed B13 with weight reduction and drag radials is a 12 second car. With enough boost, good tires, and weight reduction you can squeeze an 11 out of one. Its not about the power its about the power band and how well thought out the setup is. People on this forum often loose sight of that.

turbocharged cars are no different without a tune, the key is you gotta spend the money on a tune...turbos,nitrous,superchargers,they are all power adders so if ones artificial then they all are.people bash nitrous most time cause they have never actually tried it.

My vote still goes to a VE motor with your 75 shot. You have everything besides the motor. Just do it!
