Thread: What do you guys think of this turbo???

Its the 6300GTS....I can get it at a much cheaper price and the 320 it makes is to the wheels. I plan to run it on my 10:1 sr20de 91 se-r with some 550's and supporting mods.

It will be tuned thouroughly and conservitivley so it can hold up.

The best part is it bolts right up to the stock avenir manifold, 02 pipe, etc...

I figure its cheaper then a gt28rs and will probably make more power too.

Oh I am also looking for some s3's to go along with it.

So what do you guys think?:o

it looks ok but the compressor seems too small. its smaller than a t28 and with your 10:1 engine you'll be in spinningtire land all day!

My buddy just put one on a se-r recently and wow was it impressive. We will see, but thats my front runner at the moment.

It will be a nice compliment to my VE'ed NX2K.....

probably not going to make more power than a disco, that is a gti-r territory turbo.

probably true, but it will make more then a gtir and i am again only looking for 280-300whp MAX.

280-300 max can be done on a gti-r t28 anyway.... daveracer did much more than that.....just use an external wastegate on gti-r modified manifold. It is all up to you but that is what I would do.

buy a t28 from a gtir.

Thanks guys for your opinions ,but i have seen this turbo above and a gtir turbo in action on similiar setups and the other spools faster like a BB turbo and makes more power(the 320 listed is whp), not to mention its actual easier for me to get...lol

Those gtir's are hard to find lately..

Why not pay the same price for the turbo that makes 600hp? or the one that makes 400hp? They are all basically the same price...

Dont need or want that power......yet
