GT2871R, GT3071R and GT3076R are all great turbos.

You choose your poison.

If 400WHP is your ultimate goal, go with GT2871R it will give you the widest power band with the most torque at 400 WHP.

I do not think you should try and make 400 WHP on pump gas. My rule of thumb is anything over 15 PSI you should step up in octane. You should make 360-370 on a VE with the GT2871R turbo at 15 PSI.

so anything above 15psi use a 93 octane/ 1 gallon c16 mixture ? or c16 all together if you want to make the jump

to 22 PSI I feel you are good with 98 octane or so.

3 gallons 93 octane
1 gallon C16

makes 4 gallons 98.5 octane.

do you feel there is a good deal of potential in more power gain if you go to full on c16 and retune on it? over the 3 gallons 93 and 1 c16?

These number is keeping everything ultimatly safe.

It is a guide line. This does not mean you can not run 18 PSI on 93, I do not reecomend this as loosing a motor over 1 gallon of C16 seems a little silly for some peace of mind

I dont talk about race setups, I talk about street setups. most of us run our cars on the street and are mostly daily drivers.

All I am saying people is to use your head and think. You can do what ever you want. You also know the answer to your question.

You have an AEM EMS. Tune 2 dif maps. One on c16 if you want to remove or dont care about the O2 sensor dying prematurely, or tune the race map on 109unld.

You can get away with quite a bit of advance on 109uld.

15psi on pump made 342
20psi on 109 made 423

5psi made 70+hp with the race fuel due to the ign advancing ability given by the 109.

109 is cheaper too.

I am going to put it on a det with forged pistons and I am unsure of what rods I am going to use yet it will be attached to a LoveFab Sidewinder with a 44mm waste gate and a greddy type R BOV , I am going to do it on somewhat of a budget I am thinking of using the BC Stage 3 cams and retainers and using GTI-R rods instead of the stock det rods and I am looking for the AEBS head studs right know , but they are harder to find then I though they would be and I have looking for a good place to get all the bottem end berrings from and I was just going to buy a complete gasget and seal kit also ....for fuel I am running a JWT 72lb program with a z32 MAF and Cody at love fab is helping me with a custom made Air to water setup to keep my car as stock apearing as posible , somthing simalar to what he builds for the NSX's.

I have been surfing around for a B15 / P11 transmission ....I have found a few non LSD models and a few LSD models if I get a non LSD model I will just put in a friction style unit from JGY or something

Thats funny, a budget build that consists of forged pistons and a custom manifold. Forged rods are cheap man, might as well go all the way and save the weight on the rotating mass.

Sounds nice though.

Head studs are not really needed unless you are die hard on them, OEMs are strong. Get some 54C main bolts while you are at it.

yea those look like promising numbers, im not exactly talking about a ''race'' setup, but looking at the differences in transitions in power between high octane pump gas with the gt2871r and the full on race gas tuning with gt2871r and the differences in octanes and power with the 2871r.
