oil pump press quietion?
what is the supposed (normal)oil psi of a sr20det u11??

the thing with my engine is that i first turn'it on las week when the engine swap ended from a GA to sr20det and when wee start the engine i notice that the oil press on the gauge was 40-45 psi(cold) and when i acelerate the enigne just to 2.5k rpm the psi wont go up then after the engine heat up to normal operatting teperature-(engine is fine in that way and idle's fine to)-the damn psi's drop almost to around 15-12 psi then acelerate again just to 2.9k rpm to see if the oil psi raises and did raise but very phuking slow but only close to 20 psi not getting over 20 but below. btw the engine doesn't make any sound i doble checked that.

is the oil pump damage? or there may be something else? and what's the suposed oil psi to be?:o

that happened to me too. it ended up being that smashed pan into the oil pickup but it was exact same symptoms.

I would agree that the pan should be checked and straightened out. Quite common for the pan to be damaged during shipping.

Otherwise, you may have a defective gauge. What brand is it? What type of oil are you using?

My spanish sucks:

La parte inferior de la máquina de pan es el pan de aceite. Que se curva en el transporte marítimo, y los bloques de la recogida de aceite.

No use un medidor de 200psi, use un medidor 0-100psi
