I am confused as to why you say this.

I may not being understanding you 100%. Off the shelf aftermarket DET pistons with a VE head is a no no.

If I am not reading you right my bad.

I wouldnt take the chance

I would run the ve pistons with the bigger valve reliefs.

We have built a few VE-T's with off the shelf DET pistons with zero issues and this is with taking the motors past 8,000 RPMs.

My motor has 86.5mm off the shelf DET Wisecos.

This is with 2.0 VE cams.

Please share why. Any bad experiences with this?

Its okay with stock cams from what people have said but if you want to change to other ones(not saying you have to) it will limit you. I'm no guru on any of this its just what I have been told and want to be on the safer side when putting this much money into a sentra.

These are the pistons from the white car out of mass that I would look into.

Thanks for the links Morgan. Very interesting.

I just never read anything about the valve relief issues. I will get the power I want out of 2.0 cams so I should be good to go.

I went with the cp vet piston as well but I plan on running my n1 cams with upgraded s/r. I was worried about smacking a piston even though the det cp piston has fairly large valve relief.

We have had great impressive results with 2.0 VE cams so that is what I am sticking with. Cams still had room to go. I would love to see a turbo comparison from 2.0 to N1 cams on a high whp application.
