External wastegate noob question
I have an external gtir manifold with a turbonetics deltagate, and a turboxs MBC.

From the top, How do i hook up my MBC to this wastegate? Everything from where to get boost and vaccum sources from to where to hook it up on the wastegate.

I have tried a few options and nothing has worked. I had this MBC on my internal gate setup and it worked perfectly.

The wastegate has a boost nipple on the bottom and a vaccum nipple on the top.

If someone could do a MS paint schematic that would be perfect. Ive tried searching all over the place and i couldnt find anything useful.

Thanks for the help guys,

Dustin

IIRC for MBCs you should leave the top vaccum nipple open and connect the MBC outport to the boost nipple on the bottom

You are correct. Unless things are different with the delta gate but, I doubt it.

If i leave it hooked up normal(with no mbc) it works fine. the spring i have is 9-13 and it holds at 13.

Ive tried teeing into the boost line for the boost controller and even when it is all the way open to where it shouldnt raise the boost at all, i take it for a quick spin and the boost goes through the roof, and i have to let off asap.

ive tried teeing into the line and making one go to the vaccum nipple, one go to the MBC and into the boost nipple. Same results.

Im at all or nothing right now.

I dont have a small nipple on my compresser housing or ic piping for boost so where is the best place for me to get these signals from?

You should be anywhere after the throttle body.

boost reference should come from the compressor housing or the outlet pipe.

Alright you guys are confirming everything ive thought and attempted. i used my turboxs and a perrin mbc both with same results.

Im gonna take a break tonight and double check everything in the morning and give it another shot.

Keep the ideas coming.

Just be very careful with that open boost issue. Quick way to lose everything.
