Highest HP with T3/T4 Turbo
Hey guys, since I've decided to use my AWD bluebird for drag racing only I will try to squeeze my current setup in terms of getting all the HP I can and since I'm about to sell my current turbo, I wanted to know what is the "best" T3/T4 turbo to get the highest HP number (keeping the rest of the setup unchanged)

This is the setup:

3" downpipe
Lovefab Topmount Exhaust Manifold
1000cc Power enterprise injectors
2 Walbro 255 LPH HP fuel pumps
Nismo FPR
Garret GT3582R Turbo
Tial 38mm Wastegate
Profec Sheepdog BOV
Custom intercooler piping
XSPower Intercooler
Kelford 186-B cams
Supertech Double valve springs
Supertech Titanium Retainers
Supertech Inner spring locators
HKS cam sprockets
Headwork courtesy of Charles Dundon
Cometic Headgasket
ARP Head studs
86.5 mm CP pistons and rings
Pauter Rods
ACL Calico Main bearings
ACL Calico Rod bearings
ARP Main studs
Exedy Hypersingle Clutch Kit
Exedy Chromoly Flywheel
AEM water/methanol injection kit
Crane Hi-6 Ignition Module
Crane LX-92 Race Coil
Haltech Boost solenoid
Haltech Platinum Sport 1000 EMS
DEI Exhaut Wrap

Thanks for your help,

Cheers

First off, your question is nonsense. None of us can answer it. A T3/T4 turbo? Really?
Step into the 21st century and ditch the idea of using a dinosaur of a turbo.

You already have a GT3582R? You want something that will bolt in and out perform the GT3582R? It's not going to be an old school T3/T4 turbo I'll tell you that much.

What type of turbo manifold do you have and more importantly what type of turbo flange do you have on your turbo manifold? Is it a T3 flange? Let us know and we can help.

By T3/T4 turbo i meant T3 flanged turbo, my mistake....

You said it better than me (maybe cause english is your native language) I want something that will bolt in and out perform the GT3582R?

I'm going to edit the setup since I forgot to put my manifold (Lovefab Topmount exhaust manifold)...

I think the GT3788R is a possibility for you. You will have to change your downpipe to accommodate the V-band exhaust outlet, but other than that you should be okay. I believe the compressor housing can be had in a smaller size almost the same as the GT3582R if necessary.

I believe that turbo should get you close to the max power available from your injectors at 3 bar fuel pressure.

If you really want more power, you should consider moving up to a T4 flange. That T3 flange is really holding you back.

This thing also comes in a T3 flange (I think) but I wouldn't recommend it.

I think a precision sc6262 may also make more power than your current turbo and it is still t3 flange.

Yah if the SC6262 comes in a T3 flange it's another good option.

The HTA 3586r has hit 700whp. How much more do you need?

I think at the 700whp area, you need to step up to the big leagues T4.

I wouldn't bother with a GT37, tbh. They are pretty decent, but not as efficient as just going to a 40r. That would be my turbo to go with though if I were looking for big power. I like the twin scroll stuff.

Everyone complains that the HTA 3586r won't be very efficient, but I've seen people pull crazy numbers out of that turbo. It's pretty insane.

how much power does your current setup make? i agree, ~700 whp is the current "limit" on T3 footprint based setups. switching to a T4 flange will give you a lot of options.
