fuel pressure regulator w/gauge or nismo
Anyone have an opinion on running a nismo adjustable fpr with an inline gauge vs an external fpr with an attached gauge? Im getting ready to go 4bar and am not sure which option to choose at this point.

Pros for Nismo:

Well established. I have used one on my VE before with good results. Also know people that have run this without problems.

I already have a gauge so i just need an adapter to make the gauge work.

External regulators require a fuel rail adapter which costs an additional $40 or so.

Cons for Nismo:

Have to bend the unit to fit highport rail.

Kind of expensive considering no gauge is attached.

I have heard the gauge adapters are prone to leaking. (Maybe more of an issue at 4bar?) I dont have any experience with this however.

Any thoughts or experiences would be appreciated. thanks

If I were using the stock rail Id go with something other then a Nismo. The nismo is perfect for a top feed rail where you can just screw a gauge into the side of it with no extra money on adaptors.

aeromotive's seem to be pretty popular, that will be my next fpr. I did the whole bending thing with the nismo with no ill affects but why do all that when you can get the aeromotive unit for about the same price and the guage threads right onto the fpr.

Then I gotta buy another $40 piece that goes into the rail in place of my stock regulator though. I guess maybe if I can sell the gauge I already have I can make some of that money back. I appreciate the opinion.
