Oil restrictor ?
I had my gtir turbo rebuild with a 360 thrust bearing....turbo was installed and blew out the seals pretty much right away..... i am not too familiar with oil restrictors.....does a gtir need a oil restrictor?

It depends on the size of your oil feed, and more importantly on the size and quality of your oil drain. If you have AN3 sized feed line and a good stock oil drain then you shouldn't need a restrictor. If you have a larger feed line or poor drain you will need one. However, it's recommended you get the drain sorted out better instead.

Hmm. I was of the train of thought that a restrictor could only help in a build.

I would use a oil restrictor. it can only help the life of the turbo in my opinion.
