de ve turbo questions
now im new to the b13 game and just have a couple of questions... ive been doing some searching but sometimes i get different answers..

i just got a b13 and im thinking of maybe going boost. now the power im looking for is around 350whp. im trying to see what would be better for that a sr20det avenir motor or a sr20ve-t... either one i would go with some kind of internal work and head work and maybe a gt30r or sc61 turbo.. any advise would help and as far as transmission setups ive read that the b13/b14 trans are garbage... p11 and qr trans is the way to go but i dont want to do a qr trans due to all the things that would need to be done. now with the p11 trans it should be a straight bolt on? i read the write up on the p11 trans into b13 but cant i just bolt it up and only have to convert the clutch setup to hydraulic? or would i have to do the speed sensor, clutch arm, shifter rod/stabilizer like it says in the thread HOW TO: P11/B15 transmission swap into a B13/B14/P10 - SR20 Forum

also how is the sr16ve transmission is it worth it or no? any help would be appreciated thanks

also if i went sr20ve wheres the best place to get aftermarket parts

overkill. I made 342whp on a stock jdm de with s4 cams and a gt28rs setup for external gate. This was on a stock tranny that is still running strong. For 350whp I would not even bother with a det motor or ve-t motor.

Honestly, the best help you can get is to be patient, search, and bookmark threads that you find info in.

trust me you will be much happier and spend less money if you do a little research. I usually tell people to figure out what they want to do(drag, track, street) and then figure what they want to spend.

im doing street but its either turbo or all motor(obvs not gonna make 350 all motor but would like to see it break 200 range).. so just wanted to see some answers because i was told that p11 trans is straight bolt up besides converting to hydraulic clutch..so wanted to make sure and just wondering what kind of power these motors can handle.. thanks though...

Once you get into the technical stuff and have questions well be happy to help. But as of right now your asking questions (alot of different ones btw for just one thread) that can be answered by simply searching.

yes the p11 is a bolt except for the cable conversion. I have have both a 350whp se-r and a sr20ve powered car that makes around the 200whp mark. I have the stock tranny on both cars. You can make 500whp on stock sr20de with the right parts.

so when you say bolt on you mean all that stuff on that thread doesnt have to be done.. so basically i can have my trans rebuilt and it should be fine
