Sometimes I'll have to load a video file into Vegas Video to collect the audio from it and then pass it into a true audio software package. Sometimes I'll have to run the video through VirtualDub to get it into a format that's workable as well.
This is all second nature to me being a trained A/V editor. I'm not sure if your typical person is going to want to jump through the hoops. I bet if you had a Mac to work with your iPhone-created .mov file that shіt would make your car run silent and maybe polish your knob when it's finished.
