Thread: High Compression Turbo Motor

I have some spare stuff in my basement and im getting bored so I want to see what you guys want to see compression wise with a turbo. It will be a de block and de head im not touching ve in this but not afraid to run any internals as long as they are oem.

Only criteria I want is that it has to be oem and cheap. no stroker crap or anything of the sort that is going to kill me in the wallet.

Lets hear some ideas

Im interested to see what happens. Im going to be doing a 10:1 UK with my GT28 setup once I get some time to swap motors.

i'm going to do stock ve with e85 and see how much boost she will take.

What kind of turbo do you want to bolt onto it?

Depending on the turbo, a f*ck ton.

Or for you guys out there with simple t28 setups maybe I will do that.

This will be pump gas tune and I will unhook the wastegate line for ****s and giggles

9.5 is the highest I would personally go if I wanted to throw a lot of boost at it on pump gas.

I would just try to find det rods and pistons, no reason why you couldn't make over 500whp with them. Its going to take more than pump to get you there though.

Go for it. With a decent tune you should be able to run some decent boost.
