Engine swap & brake booster
I swapped a DET engine from one SE-R to another, and I didn't pay attention to the brake booster lines.
Should there be a check valve or something between the engine and brake booster?
I know the brake booster works off vacume. I just figured the boost would affect it. My turbo forester has a check valve in the brake booster line.
Thanks for any info. I didn't really see much when i searched

it is on the firewall typically, you do need that for sure though or you will have major stalling issues when stopping.

most people use a check valve from their car.

The check valve is right where the line meets the metal piece right before it.

If you didnt have a check valve im pretty sure you wouldnt be stopping anytime soon because it is very important for the vac off the mani and brak booster

That yellowish looking clip on the firewall is where the check valve is located. Remove the clip, and the check valve should be behind it. To inspect it just make sure you can only blow thru it one way.

Ok I didn't pay good enough attention. I have one.
I can't figure out whats going on with my brakes. Sometimes there is pedal pressure and sometimes it pretty much goes to the floor. I guess I will recheck all the vacume and brake lines really good. If that doesnt fix it I will swap out the master cylinder.
Any ideas are welcome!
