I am going to throw more than that at my stock b13 tranny. The b15 tranny will be fine. If the car is tuned right the pistons will be fine.

i would try and change that turbo, i assume you got it cheap.

14psi at the gate is fine, the only boost controller you need is the gas pedal

its a mismatched compressor and turbine combination. I have seen this turbo make 380whp on a rwd setup. Its not as bad as people make it out to be.

with it being a mismatched of compressor and turbine, is there a downside to this. can u give me some more insite on this....? this turbo is only really seen on rwd cars and not on fwd.
I thought it would be different and see how it turns out, but i have had a few ppl tell me to change it for a gt2860r and because the gt2876 specs, of the turbine a/r of .86 and compressor of .70 and boost will start to build around 4k.

I thought it would just be a good turbo cuz i plan to rev to 7500rpm and with the bigger compressor it will help when i am in vvl

that was my reasoning

cheers

I have a gt28rs and I am not going to use it because its too small for what I intend to do. The gt2876r has been around for some time it used to be the gt25/40. I have not seen it on a fwd set up before and I guess that would have to do with the large comp housing not clearing the block with out a custom manifold. Yes this turbo is considered to be laggy but I have not seen this on a vvl car. I would use it if you have it and see what happens. Like I said I have seen it on several rwd sr20's with good results.

like i got the manifold from asp and he said it will clear the block and he sent me pics, i just hope with factory jpipe it will match up to my down pipe. if not more money spent on modifying my downpipe. I will try this turbo and see what happends.
