You can use the stock water lines on a gt2871r. You can always use the stock coolant locations on the block with a combination of fittings and hose. Its really your choice.

Is ATP high? 32 plus shipping for 12 inches of 6an braided line? Rediculous.

If you want to use the stock locations, I can't help you any. I don't blame you though. Stock locations have a certain appeal.

If you're willing to do it differently, then do what all the DE+T guys do and get the M14x1.5 bango bolts with barbed fittings. Use small water hose for the lines. You don't need any terminating barbs or anything for the other two ends. Run the lines under the distributor and over towards the throttle body. There are two water provisions on the water necks. One feeds, the other drains. Not sure which one does which. They feed the throttle body, intake manifold around the EGT stuff, and maybe one other thing. Put the turbo in-line with that stuff. Or by-pass the throttle body and/or EGT stuff while you're over there.

OK, I think this will make more sense to me when I go check out the engine again on Thursday.

Hey,

OK after checking out the engine again, I'm not understanding why I *shouldn't* use the stock water lines. I tested the banjo bolt on my GT2871R and it threads in fine, so the stock lines should work. I'm sure the GT2871R will sit in a different place, but I'm thinking the stock water lines should work. Anyone know of any issues?

very true. I can sit my manifold and turbo on the radiator support with lines still attched. well except the oil drain. makes working on the turbo easy.

Get banjo fittings with hose barbs, then use SS braided hose from Jegs. That's what i do with all my setups and i've never had a leak, and they were very easy to run. Hook them up to the TB water lines.
