gt2871r 0.64 w/ ext. wastegate how much whp?
what's the highest and/or some of the average whp that people have been putting down with 2871r 0.64a/r turbo and external wastegate and at what psi? I am going to assume around 400-415whp. There was a guy on freshalloy or zilvia.net that made 400 whp and i beilieve he had internal wastegate;we should see a bit more since we're FWD.

I will b getting the following setup soon but wondering if I should sell this turbo and just get the 3071r 0.86.
- gt2871r 0.64 T3 flange
- external wastegate
- S3r cams

i would think the guys doing 400+whp on a 718r with the .64 ex housing were running it at over 20 psi.

id go with the .84 ex housing if 400whp is your goal and keep the psi down.

stratton.

Found this from one of Serban's old threads...

Although it was at high boost levels, those are impressive numbers.

WOW VERY IMPRESSIVE. Unless that dyno chart is not to scale, it seems like the power comes on later in the powerband. typically the gt2871r makes about 200whp at around 3700-4200rpm depending on the housing.

^^Na it looks like the dyno guy just hit it later in the power band instead if letting it rev down and then revving it back up. And that **** sounded like it waqs about to blow!
