It's a DET ecu. He shouldn't have to reflash it since the readings don't differ. the scale is correct for both the S13 DET and GTI-R maf. My guess is you're right that the wiring is the same. I pulled a PDF FSM from somewhere and they were showing a picture that didn't match up to the GTI-R MAF, so I started wondering wtf was different.
