An oil cooler doesn't achieve the same result as oil squirters. Putting in oil squirters is not difficult. You can take the block to any machine shop and they can do it. You can also do it in the comfort of your own home.
You will not catch me dead plugging oil squirter holes. I enjoy the idea of keeping my pistons as cool as possible to prevent detonation.
Machining the main journals for extra oiling and going with the appropriate bearings with extra oiling holes goes a very long way in providing extra oiling to your bearings.
It was also brought up, you can modify the factory oil pumps for more pressure, which is common practice.
Personally, I won't bother with a VE oil pump. External 3 stage pump for me in the not too distant future.
