Thanks for the info guys. Like Ben said I am not shooting for the stars. This is a just a efficient pump gas car I am putting together. I just want things to be safe and reliable. I will look into the Bosch pumps for sure. I want to keep a intank pump and just run a inline pump.

Call it peace of mind.

and the output an inline Bosch 044 pump is increased when you feed it with an intank pump

Good to know.

One pump of adequate capacity is better than two. If the single pump fails you run low on fuel for a short moment then run out. If one pump fails in a two pump system you run continuously lean for extended periods of time potentially while at max boost. Easy way to destroy an engine.

It all depends on what types of risks you want to take and the probabilities you want to live with.

If you are spending the money on a fuel system and are going to be messing around with dual pumps, don't. One could possibly fail and leave your motor in pieces. I would just run the A1000. On my work in progress I'm shooting for 500whp at least. I rather just spend the money on a quality pump and buy a nice plastic tank to go with it in the trunk so I can lose the metal tank. I would also not have to modify the stock tank.

Good point.

This make a lot of sense. I really did not think about it this way.

Well Im running a custom intank dual Walboro set-up. Dual feeds (-6 lines) run to a y-block that converge to a -8 line. Which runs up to my custom -8 rail with 1600cc injectors all regulated by an aero-motive FPR. I still have the stock return from the FPR. A side note though is with this set-up you usually want to rewire your pumps with a thicker gauge power wire. I have seen voltage drops with the stock wires when pushing these pumps to the max. Changing the power wire to something thicker gives a little more cushion.
Also im running e85 which is why I have such a big fuel system, and just under 600whp. I will be pushing upwards of 650-680whp this coming summer though.

Rob if you would like to look into this option, I would only be to get you a custom dual intake set-up if I had your car at my shop. I also have custom rails already machined and ready to go.
As far as risk.....you always run a certain risk with anyset-up. Cars are cars and things might fail. In all my years I have not had a set-up fail yet. From dual walboro EVO's to triple walboro Supra's.

We only had to modify the stock tank slightly......The A1000 are nice but in my experience those pumps have failed many more times than any walboro i have run. Its up to you in the end, but I love my fuel system set-up, it works great and no one would ever see it. No sumped tank or mounting an A1000 under my car, ect.....

I'm running a 255 walboro in the tank then an inline walboro. I have -8 line from the inline to the rail. I'm running a -8 top feed rail. Then I have -6 from the regulator back to the tank. No problems here.

A1000 + Speed Controller = daily driven application if you can stand the humming noise.

Aeromotive|Billet Fuel Pump Speed Controller

a couple of 044s in parallel or an in tank feeding an inline 044 in series will be much quieter than a an A1000. those type of pumps are a little easier to mount compared to the A1000 too. the A1000 is supposed to be gravity fed and the 044/external style pump can pull fuel if it is mounted that way. the A1000 on my b13 hums for sure and definitely lets you know if you have enough gas in the tank lol!
