I am staying cable, and all the twins I have experienced have been extremely harsh. I thought the point of going with a twin is to have higher holding capacity and better driveability. I had no idea that the pedal would be so stiff! Getting in a twin disk car with hydro made me realize that a twin setup with cable just won't happen.

yeah, the pedal even with the hydro is very very stiff. Driveability? whats that haha nah once you get used to it, its not too bad. Clutch is very noisy as well. When you have the clutch pedal pressed to dissengage the clutch the cluth makes this nice metalic rattling sound from the two disks sitting between the plates while they spin.

Other than that, no complaints. Yeah i dont see cable with this clutch at all. Your cables will snap like twigs,

I have a SPEC twin disc.....cable style. Works great for me. Yes it is very stiff, but still driveable. It takes time to get used too. And no the cable will not snap like a twig.....I drive mine all summer with no issues.

I'm also running a twin disk setup with cable.I think it's just like stock once to get a feel for it.

Eric which twin disk are you running?

Also was your clutch slipping prior to the swap?

I have the Comp twin like Ashton ....but when I ordered it I asked for the best peddle engagment I could get ( if it makes a differance ) and I got a good deal on it ( I know they are not liked ...but I got mine through JGY ) it is not even on Comps normal sales list either ....and no my other clutch was not slipping on everyday driving but one night we put race gas in it and found out where the limit of the pump ( when injector duty went through the roof due to not enough pump ) and duing some data logging on the street it started to slip in 5th ...but the pedal was quite a bit stiffer ....this one feels awsome trying to rev matchand shift through the gears....

Drivability is what can make or break this for me.

Without a shadow of a doubt, the ClutchMasters Twin Disc FX700 is the best clutch I have ever had.

2nd gear, 7000 RPM, side-step pedal, 23" slicks = no issues!

How harsh is the engagement on easy street driving?
