Quality? How is your W2A any more quality than a properly done front mount. I have 5 pipes on my entire FMIC setup. If i were to go and get them welded it would be 3 pipes. My Intercooler is mounted cleanly and its high enough not to damage anything. i cut my bumper to one allow more airflow through it and two to fit it on the bottom. A sunny front bumper will solve that problem on the bottom which i plan to do later down the road.

Again you come on here saying how great your intercooler is. Congrats on spending the money you did on it. I spent a total of 250 bucks on my 3" piping kit with reinforced couplers and t bolts. and the 32X12X4 intercooler. I made 461whp,391wtq on 24psi on a 90 deg day. I am now around the 550whp, 475wtq range. Again all on a $250 intercooler setup that i dont constantly have to drain the water and refill with ice water if you really want to benifit from it. I just drive and go with no worries.

Again in the summer time who is really gonna get on it during the middle of the day like full out race during the middle of the day, nobody, not even im that wild. ive punched it in a gear or two in the middle of the day but again my tune is good and it still makes perfect power on my nice simple fmic setup.

Again like everyone else on here has already said. That setup is nowhere near worth that price. Again most of us on here are cheapskates so they are not going to pay that money for an intercooler. And hell cheap has worked just fine for 99% of us that do it that way.

BTW lol i lived in houston for 5 months and all i saw there is ghetto cars with ghetto parts on 99.9% of the cars ive seen there. Hell most are all just wanna be gangstas that are all into getting into fights over crap about crap on their cars and whos crap is faster. All to get smoked by the humble simple setups. Watched it over and over at the races. Again of course there are the nice cars. Every where has them. But i swear i have yet to see more ghetto anywhere ive lived than in Houston. Not to mention the bagged chevy trucks dragging their crap on the freeway. Boring, lame, and ghetto.

SUnny bumper has less room for an IC from my experience.

or just get the 93-94 bumper, Problem solved. The only place my intercooler wouldnt fit was right at the bottom lip. I didnt want it to look all tweeked so i cut it right around the edges of it. A lip can solve the looks of that as well. Id rather have the newer bumper anyways.

Again point being it isnt worth what he bought it for. Under racing cercumstances other than racing in 110 deg weather they will perform just about the same. Not worth 1600.00 worth of difference.

David, I'm going to basically avoid most of the stuff that's been going on in this thread for now. I just wanted to show you something since you seem to be worried about ground clearance with air-air systems.

You also mentioned not wanting to get your car/stuff stolen by presumably showing off a large front mount air-air intercooler. I'd like to bring your attention to exhibit B.

Ooops my mistake I meant to say Draw Through. Blow through requires you to have around 8-12" from Throttle Plate and MAF, and 8-6" from BOV. You need a straight shot piece of pipe in those 8-6" inches before the MAF too. After the MAF you can have as many curves as your heart wishes.

Once again this is all guidelines to make sure your MAF gets an accurate reading. Most MAF's that you get from the yard will be on their last legs, you can verify that with a simple Voltage test. Having additional turbulences will further deteriorate the readings.

No bumper support, for the scarey loss there! I just dont want to hit something and destroy every last part of my front end.

Brent, I kept the bumper support. There's actually a thread where Miko and I go back and forth about how much room there is and how big you can go without going into the bumper support.

i shoved a 20X11X3 in. core in my sunny bumper...kind of a pita but doable. it has plenty of ground clearance and only 2 charge pipes. $1600 for a one off intercooler is not bad...custom fab work takes time and costs $

1600 like everyone else said is way way way way too expensive, you could get a really nice intercooler kit, cryo kit and nitrous kit and even a aquamist for cooling for less than 1600
