Thread: g20 auto turbo?

Has this been covered? its looking like the lady is willing to turbo her p10.....as i have a complete unused setup, i figured might as well. Were only talking about wastegate spring on a td05, so only about 210 hp or so. will the auto hold up? i dont know if this has ever been a topic or not, this is only a "cause we can" mod, and im not trying to go all out and change the whole car. just wanted that extra boost, USING the auto. im assuming the trans can deal with the extra power, and the computer will be able to shift without getting confused. i may be wrong with this assumption, so i wanted to ask first. im simply basing this on the fact that the boosted AUTO j30s/300zxs/q45s ive seen have been able to deal with the boost, and most turbo cars with sr20s are auto anyways. just wanted to see what people thought. on top of this, ive always been a fan of auto turbos, NO turbo lag, EXCELENT response, allways wanted to see it done in an auto g20.

take it from me i have a 96 g20 turbo that is running more than 250hp and no problem so far only thing i ran into i max out my stock maf

for some reason, the koojo story hits my brain really quick. so does my buddy when he had his auto turbo altima.

Do some searching on G20.net. 99% of the people who have tried boost on their stock auto cars ended up blowing the tranny. Buy Dave's level10.

x3 for that price you can't lose. It will be hit or miss with the stock auto. Eventually it will go. Mine went on my 96 with no boost at all, LOL.

I think the first det swap in a P10 here in Utah was done in an auto G20 back in like '99. From what I recall that car was driven into the ground and the transmission never blew up, I could be wrong though. I don't think he was running an intercooler either LOL
