but turbocharged or supercharged on the other hand....

well i have heard it from 3 people now, that SR20 blocks are no overly strong being alloy. and should not be boosted for much over 280rwkw without risking engine damage, either short or long term.. yes the engine will make reasonable HP, but for how long is the question i guess..

Anyone got big boost on a stock un touched block that has been reliable and flogged consistantly and has held up well? im running 21psi, making 276rwkw, I want reliability and power not a time bomb..

That's a good point. Added deck height would be really beneficial for our big NA builds. But we could just add a deck plate to a std block...

The bullet heads on the other hand could make a world of difference

I heard anything over 5psi and a bunch of C4 goes off inside the car... the block might crack. That is some shit quality

My thinking wasn't about this being beneficial to N/A, but more along the lines of why copy the SR block as opposed to making a hybrid block with a longer stroke.

How so? I see you have a 400hp sr20, is that engine hp? Or wheel hp? 300kw.. Tell me more about this engine? I'm interested to know more, I have heard of sr20s making 320 kW on a stock bottom end, those engines are no longer with us..

There are plenty of us who have made 600whp+ and even more with 400whp+... I've never seen a block or crank failure in an SR20 in my 10+ years in the scene.
