just a few questions
I am a mechanic just getting into the import world i love the idea of four cylinders runing crazy times at the drag strip. i have a sr20de+t just a stock avenir turbo bolted on to a stock motor what are some secrets to make power just by playing with the motor or buying cheap parts, i know from experience there is a way to do this?

also what is a disco potato
and what is an fmic

thank you for your info ahead of time

Disco potato is i believe a GT28RS turbo, good for about 360whp or so.

FMIC is a Front Mount Intercooler

You can up the boost on yours to about 10-12psi no problem on your t25 turbo. Dont go any more than that if you want it to be reliable. I have a lot of experience with t25's and trust me you dont want to go higher if your looking for it to last a while.

What are you running for an ecu? Avenir ecu?

Like Ashston said, turning up the boost is the easiest and usually cheapest way to make more power. Be aware that it sounds a lot simpler than it is. You need to make sure you're keeping up with the fuel needs of the engine, and aren't going well out of the efficiency range of the turbo or other parts.
Most of the same old N/A power tricks work well or better on turbo cars, they can be costly though like head work or similar. But paying attention to details like the intake/exhaust pipes and ignition timing curve can make all the difference.

Exactly!!! as cheap mods i would get an AEM wideband that will directly screw right into your existing o2 port as the factory o2 sensor is not needed if your running a B13 and will not trigger a check engine light.

Or just have it welded in after on the downpipe somewhere. That way you can make sure as you slowly raise the boost up that your a/f is staying on the better side of things. If it goes lean i could suggest an afpr and turn the fuel pressure up a couple psi to compensate a bit. But at no more than 12 psi your factory ecu should be fine. They are pretty leineint as far as the tune goes.

Just be aware. Make sure you have an upgraded fuel pump as well. A walbro 255 lph pump is a cheap and easy remedy for the fuel system to keep up.

i have a 255 walbro, and a safc with a stock ecu, 370 injectors, and i do have a boost controller i do notice a huge difference when i turn the boost up to about 9 10 pounds but i dont want it to blow up after a couple pasts.
from personal knowledge while i was putting this car together i had seen hot coolant lines running through the intake manifold so i looped it out knowing it would probably do something, i also eliminated the egr. is there anything else, im trying to learn off this motor because id rather blow this one up rather then the one i plan on building.

wideband, you can still run 12 psi but please do yourself a favor and get a wideband. This will make it much easier to see whats really going on.

The turbo was prototyped (or first run?) on a B15 Sentra a few years ago. The paint scheme was a color shifting "brown" color. I know those aren't the exact details but good enough for now.
