ARP rod bolts torque
Quick question, does anyone know the torque specs for ARP rod bolts that come with the Eagle H beam rods?, I found on eagle site 43 lbs-ft, but I don't have the ARP moly lube, and would like to know how much the torque should change using motor oil.

pretty sure its 43, just use some molly based lube on the bolts. You dont need the actual arp lube. Pick some up at napa or another parts store that sells it.

If it were me I'd use the engine oil and just torque them a bit higher. 48 ft-lbs or something.
But I'm crazy like that. =]

well the rods are designed to have a certain bolt torque on them and allow them to keep their perfect round shape. I would just get a molly lube or just some thicker oil like gear oil on the bolts and torque them to the specified 43 ft-lb of torque.

It should be fine, Just dont put them in dry, this will definetly cause problems with torque reading.
