boost leak at 15 psi
Well I got my car running right finally except I have a boost leak that is coming in around 15 psi. It drop down down to 10 psi once it hits 15 psi.
I saw this vid on youtube were the guy used an air compressor, anybody know how to do this or anybody got an idea how to find it. Its hard to track it down without the car being under load.

Well I see one definite problem, and one possible problem.

Don't use worm clamps! They are not designed to hold any boost, 15 psi is dangerous, it if pop's off someone might loose an eye. Second is your coupler it self, is it a multi layered silicon one?

Looks to me that he has already and he was pumping it with an electric pump.

Reading > Me , I figured it was a KA24 nothing special hehe.

Yeap! I made one today, luckily I have a buddy that does plumbing and he hooked my up with a cap and a air stem like on a bicycle. Also put some jb weld and telfon to seal it up, will let yall know what 2 morro how it turns out. I will prob end up picking up some better couplers as well, thanks for the site vadim. Some just look like they need replaceing.

FYI: Always test for TWICE the pressure you plan on running thru the system.

For instance, since you plan on running at 15psi, you need to pressure test at 30psi.

Matter of fact, I don't pressure test anything LESS than 35~40psi. Better safe than sorry

Yah but Tekkie, what if you're going to run 180 psi?
