I know I had problems with smoking with bad feed lines.... there was someone else who had problems too. If your restrictor is too big you will have too much oil going through past the seals and into the exhaust (and eventually burning off). If you run it for too long like that the seals on the turbo will blow and you will need to rebuild it or buy a new one.

Let us know what you got for a feed line and what kind of turbo it is and it will help narrow it down.
