Mr. Gomba-

After installing your tranny TWICE in the last week (while trying to kill you)and with your plans of installing a DET w/ my help, you will be installing a WB.

Have a nice day!

PS - Syed is trying to talk me into a GT2871R... hmmm.....

lol the celica is funny as hell

On a side note you definetly need a wideband. You can get the proven AEM wideband on Ebay bnib for 190 shipped maybe less now. Thats what i got mine almost a year ago.

To me it is essential. I could not do any fine tuning without it.

^I agree. Or you can be like the morons around me. They slap on the boost controller and keep cranking it until the car goes babooooommmmm and melts some plugs. Then its like oh ok so it was good about 2psi before here.

I guess I'm trying to figure out whether or not I need to get a wideband if raising boost beyond stock levels. I'll be using a JWT ECU.

Is a wideband recommended when going a few psi over stock or is it really only needed if you are really pushing high boost levels?

Thanks!

How are you going to tune timing and fuel, or do you only care about the fuel thus a SAFC?

Wideband is a must, if your front O2 sensor goes out for any reason, which it might if you run too rich, then you might start leaning out.

Simply put, there shouldn't be a turbo car on this forum without a wideband.

I would actually go with a Innova LC1. I have an AEM, not being able data log with AEM FTL.

the aem has datalog capability. my buddy is selling a zeixtronix wideband and it comes with the software and everything. It comes with the cables to hook directly to your laptop for data logging.

He wants $200 for it. This is normally a $350 wideband with complete data logging capabilities. Not only that you can tap into your rpm and tps signal from your ecu and datalog that as well right with the wideband readings.

Anyone interested? haha Its brand new, doesnt have the box but does have the instructions. ONly thing needed is the bung for the downpipe. That got lost. I totally forgot he has been trying (somewhat) to sell this.

Yes it sure does, nothing like Data Logging into Hyper Terminal. It gives you a nice 14.7 or what ever your AFR is, you don't need the time, RPM or any of that stuff hehe.

lol, it's decided then!

If you get a GT2871R and STI injectors, we'll basically have the same setup. I can't have that, I'm going GT3071R now

Hmmmm, but I wonder if that's true....

I have been convinced I need a wideband, although this is something else I wasn't plan on getting so this adds to my expenses list..this list keeps getting longer ;/
