ok... so i just got back from the machine shop and got an estimate on the total work nd cost. one thing that concerns me is that they dont have a torque plate to use when boring and honing the cylinders. is the torque plate absolutely essential? what happens if it isnt used?

The headgasket may not seal properly if a TQ plate isn't used.

guess this is a long shot but... does anyone have a tq plate they would be willing to loan out?
