Switched to blowthrough, hello compressor surge/fluttering of bov?
No idea whats going on here with this, didnt adjust the bov at all, just switched the piping around to make blowthrough instead of drawthrough and now my bov is fluttering or compressor surge, tried adjusting it a couple times.
My vac lines go from wastegate to boost controller to small nipple on tb(but is t'd off to small nipple on bov)
big nipple on bov goes to intake manifold

would any of that be a problem? also i have a line going from the big nipple on my intake manifold you can see it on the intake manifold next to tb)that goes to the intake tube before the turbo

Well if it's a flutter/surge issue, it's not wastegate related/boost controller related.

Ensure the BOV source is seeing boost and vacuum, and not boost only. You may need to adjust it full soft if it's adjustable, and see if the surge goes away.

What type of BOV is it? I know my synapse has three vacuum ports, two for signal and one on the side for assist (makes response KILLER regardless of vacuum levels)

its the greddy type s bov, i'll try turning it to full soft and see how that goes

Does it have both springs, or only one? If both, it may be too tight preventing the valve from opening properly under vacuum? That's why I mentioned full soft.

sorry to be off topic did how did your A/F ratio turn out when you switched to blow through, did it get leaner, richer, or stay the same?

Run your wastegate/boost controller right off of the turbo or somewhere on the intake piping, the closer to the turbo, the more acurate it will be. You need to run a dedicated manifold preasure source to the BOV. BOV needs the same signal as your boost guage.

I have a similar problem with my car. I switched from draw through to blow through, but I changed my BOV at the same time and switched from TMIC to FMIC. It only does it on my car at ~ 2 psi or below. I think my problem is a dirty piston in the BOV.

thats the weird part, it has 3 springs lol. I didnt have this problem before i switched, but im not doing this in driving, this is all just reving the car and getting the fluttering. I figured if i was going to have it at idle i'll hve it driving around too
I dont have a nipple anymore on the intake piping for the boost controller/wastegate, i used the nipple thats on the bottom of the tb to the left.

Remove one of the three springs Start with the tighter wound spring first.

talked me into it, i'll do it today and see how it blows lol, it'll be alot easier to hold down the top now too when i put the tiny ass allen screws in it
