I have put over 20K miles on my VE-T since it was built in 08. So yea, I've been daily driving the piss out of it.

But the car has sat for the last 6 weeks because I was waiting for tial to send me new wastegates under warranty. I just barely got them, but haven't had the time off work to put them on yet.

But I can't wait

I'm at full boost by 2800-3000. But full boost early means no boost late.

since I went turbo in 08 ive had nothing but problems. first swap= stock DE. spun a rod bearing on cylinder 3. second swap U13 bluebird, T3 turbo, log manifold, 3" turbo back, 370cc injectors, DE MAF, SAFC, U13 ECU. broke a trans, spun a rod bearing on cylinder 3, and got really bad rod knock. third swap= W10 avenir, stock T25, 370cc,3" turbo back, Z32 maf, SAFC, U13 ECU. broke 4 clutch cables, broke a crank pulley in two pieces, blew 3 turbo gaskets and then developed bad compression out of no where. the results were something stupid like 1-120 2-119 3-105 4-50. crazy thing is all my problems seem to be oil related. but i changed my oil every 2000 miles religiously, in all of these motors. yet none of them even made it to the 4th oil change. with the first two motors i used mobil 1 full synthetic 10W30, then I used mobil 1 15W50 full synthetic in the avenir. I didnt have any of these problems when my car was a 1.6L

wow, the SR20 gods are not on your side

Out of all of your failures, what things did you learn to keep them from happening in the future?

yeah thats just plain bad luck, I have always daily drove my turbo se-r. And the reason i blew motors was my own fault for pushing the setups soo hard and past the limits.

So i knew what was gonna be the outcome and planned for it. Now i have a setup i can push hard, be at my power goals without going past the limits of the setup.

My buddies turbo nx has been turbo 2 years with 20K+ miles. The only other issues we have ever had were maf wiring pulling out of the connector so had to replace the connector, tps problems, that was easy stuff though.

But other than that the car drives smooth as if it was stock but freakin accelerates very nicely.

I bought a p11 with 60k miles 5 years ago. It was turbo by 64k miles and I sold it with 218k miles and still in perfect running condition. I daily drove it everyday and actually did about 40k miles in one year with it. I used all brand new stock parts pretty much.
