JWT ECU Re-tune??
Hey,

I was wondering what's the best way to get in contact w/JWT to get my ECU re-tuned(bought used)? What information do they need and any other advice would be useful.

Thanks!

Call them at 619-442-0680 ask for the tech department. A guy named ben should answer, tell him u wanna get a reflash on your ECU, You will have to send it 2 him with a number that he gives you. He will need to know, injectors, maf, compression, and octane of gas. Cost you $100 plus the cost of shipping it back to you. They will take your card number and charge you when they are done. It takes about 3 weeks.

If you tell him that you need it back immediately, they can put a "priority" tag on it. They will reflash it and ship it back out the day they get it. I just did this. Sent it out wednesday night at like 6 and got it back at noon on Thursday a week later. I used priority shipping.

It depends how busy they are I have heard up to 6 weeks at times.

I just sent mine off the end of October and had it back in 10-days, didn't even ask for it back that quick. I have heard of many delays but they were super quick.

Ya, I saw they charged my credit card yesterday which I think means they have it programmed and are ready to send it back. I've heard it can take 2 months, but maybe they are not as backlogged or maybe they've sped up the process We'll see how soon I get mine back.

btw, He didn't care about octane level and don't call them around lunch time because they will be gone hehe.

burning a chip and verfiying that the chip is good does not take long. the delays at jwt are due to the size of the company. As with any small company you can only do as much as resources allow.

ECU Came in. Took about 3 weeks.

Tune was STI 520cc injectors @ 4 bar (kinda weird they insisted on putting 605cc which is 520cc@4bar..oh well) Z32 MAF and 8.5 CR

Can anyone else confirm the total CC @ 4 bar listed and not the 3 bar listing? Also, what exactly does RO2 + EGR Temp Rest mean? R02 = Rear O2 I assume and EGR Temp, but I'm not sure what it's telling me.

BTW, they charge you for return shipping, so my total was $116.

STI's are 520 at 3 bar if I recall correctly, unless they really started using 4 bar on stock cars.

Do you have an AFPR? You will need it to crank it up to 4 bar now.

I'm assuming R02 and EGR temp means it's eliminated, but I don't see why they would provide that, unless you swear to them the car is for track use only.
