yes, it dumps to the atmosphere. its exhaust gases...

Well, it's already apparent I'm gonna have to change the design slightly of the main dp. The radius is just too damn tight to weld easily. So, in future units the dp radius will have to be larger. This unit is tight, and the center bottom nut is gonna be rough to use.

It's all fully welded except for the hard to reach areas. I'm simply not gonna be able to get to them in the jig. So, I'm letting it cool, so it doesn't move. Then I'm gonna have to go slow to get each spot welded, since it's out of the jig.

Not bad though...just gonna have to go through some small phases of improvement, both to improve end quality, and also to reduce the time it takes me to make it.

The whole idea behind separating it in the first place is to avoid interrupting the flow out of the turbine. You could merge it back in at some point downstream, but it's easier to just let it dump. Sounds pretty badass too.
