sr20det bluebird vs sr20det gtir
i am new to nissans i what to build a 200sx or a sentra i live in the usa i was wondering whats the difference between the two engines and which is a easier swap and which of the two would it be easier to get parts for in the usa. the motors i found come with trans a ecu and harness the bluebird cost 1600 usd and the gtir is 1900 both supusily have low miles.wich car is it easier for the swap.i been in a sentra when i lived in orlando with a bluebird and a presion turbo 720cc injectors and i think brain crower cams and some other stuff my roommate was working on the car and took me for a ride and it was pretty fast.any info will help thanks.

The gtir motor has beefier rods so it is stronger it also has a better intake manifold and such. You may change that regardless depending on what type of build you are doing. Most parts should be interchangeable on any sr20 except for a few.

GTIR has the lower compression, bigger turbo, bigger injectors, individual throttle bodies, etc. The swap itself has the same difficult level has any other SR20DE motor. SR20DET still a great motor very easy to tune and parts will be easier/cheaper to find. Go into the Gspec.com website and see the price difference between GTIR and DE(T) parts. Remember the avenir is the "newer" version of the bluebird. IMO better off getting a slightly newer motor.

uh have you ever compared gtir rods to det rods the gtir rods are thicker so they are stronger. I dunno how that is incorrect.

okay your right, i was under the impression that all det rods were the same i stand corrected. The IM can be a bitch to work with though because of the TB crap.
