That can be done with a front mount, no problem.

Do you have a B13, B14, or something else?

Now, if you can get suffiecent air flow to the IC or a fan on it, then ya, but you're going to have to run a pretty thick core. I've done Intercooler install and dyno results on MR2s after going from a factory intercooler to a Spearco core that was double the thickness of the factory core and got great results, but it was still pretty large. If someone wants a Sidemount, I'll have my buddy fab one up, dyno test it, and then share the temps and such. I have a DSM sidemount IC somewhere on my shelf... ya see... in TX we do things big... FYI that civic is 500"W"HP on a stock unopened engine.

well im not looking for mad power, just something reliable and fun to play with. Since its my DD car.

holy crap, no joke on the sleeper in that bad boy.... and that sucker is HUGE!!! too.

I'm pretty sure for a dd ac would be very nice. I was thinking about a smic but thought better of it.

i think a smic wouldnt be too bad. for a small/average DD setup. little to no boost drop. something different. although it depends on the car. a B14 without fogs would probably do better than a b13. unless you modify it. otherwise i say go for it and keep us posted

I hate posting that picture for that very reason. The hood is crooked, and the grill isn't aligned much better (poking out forward actually).

All that got fixed soon after.

And it's not like I did anything at all to hide it. I just put it where it fit best, and it hid itself.

You can also just paint it black. As long as you don't get a lot of paint down inside the fins, it has an insignificant effect on heat transfer.
