COLD weather/calum realtime/leaning fuel
sup guys. im in NH and its only getting colder. the morning/evening drive to/from work is 25 miles with hardly a stop along the way. i pull out my driveway at operating temp, but not long after it plummits to 130*
my MPG has greatly decreased with the weather change! i am wondering if "tricking" the ecu will have a negative effect on my motor. my idea is to adjust and ZERO out the cold idle enrichment table down to around 50*c. 50*c is roughly 125*F. removing the fuel will not harm my cold idle as the dagone thing doesnt idle cold anyway, so that im not worried about. my concern is with the colder dense air and leaning it out will it have a negative reaction? i borrowed a wideband to street tune for 1 day a while back during the summer. unfortunately i dont have one installed still. does this all make sense? questions/comments please! i dont drive my car in the winter and want to get as much out of her a possible till snow comes.
thanks.
